Jennifer had lived on my farm for almost three years, and sunning this time she had only a horse, a pony, and a few goats for friends. Although she tried, she could not get close to any of these animals. Jennifer needed a friend.
On a warm fall day, Jennifer was sunning herself in the pasture when a horse trailer arrived. As she watched, another animal - much like herself - stepped out. Could this be real? Well, it was real. This newcomer was another burro named Elizabeth. Jennifer was almost beside herself with joy. From their first meeting to the very day, Jenny and Liz remain the best of friends; they are real "Pals".
